Ananya found us a year out. She had a clear mood and an even clearer no-list: nothing too matte, nothing too pink, nothing that would compete with the lake outside her window.
We spent the haldi morning with luminous skin and a flushed cheek. By mehendi night, the eye softened into a burnished bronze that read against the gold of her lehenga. The wedding-morning look was the quietest of all four — a soft satin skin, a barely-blushed lip, and the kind of brow that doesn't need to introduce itself.
Reception leaned the most editorial of the week — a deeper smoke, a stained lip, and a single piece of jewelry doing all the work above the neck.
